Houston Area Driving Schools offers year around Adult Permit and Adult Driving Classes in both English and Spanish. Para espanol leer abajo. 

The purpose of our Permit Test Classes is for those adults who have difficulty passing the Permit test or lack English speaking and writing ability. 
As of March 2010, all adults under 25 will be required to take the 6 hour permit class to obtain completion certificate for their Texas Permit.  Adults students will take completion certificate to the D.P.S. for them to obtain their permit. 

The State of Texas issues a driving permit to all the individuals who want the privilege of driving in Texas, which means having a clear basic understanding and knowledge of the meanings of the signs, markings and the laws and regulations , as well as, be able to pass the vision test.  Our adult permit class covers the above items in the six hours.

The basic requirements for the 6 hour permit test are: 
1.   Be a citizen of the U.S. or have legal status to be here 
2. Show proof of citizenship or legal status with at least 6 months remaining
3. Have a Social Security Card
4. A picture identification; i.e. Texas ID, Government ID, work or school ID 
5. Be able to read and write basic English

Note:  1. Please make sure to bring your glasses or contacts with you. 
2. All documents must be originals.


Class Schedule For Adult Permit Class

Classes are  Saturday in   English and  Saturday in Spanish. See below for class dates.    Student Registration is from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Classes begin at 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. with a 30 minute lunch break.  Students should bring all documents required, a black pen, and a notebook or pad to take notes with.   Price will increase to $150.00 starting March 1,2010.

After you have completed and passed the permit test, this permit will allow you to practice and better your driving skills while driving with a license adult who is 21 or older and is sitting in the front seat with you.  For people who desire to lean to drive correctly we offer adult driving classes for different driving skills and abilities.  Schedules and times are dependent on your availability and that of the instructor, but are extremely flexible.  We will pick you up and drop you off at your location.  If you take the permit class with us, and need a DPS Pretest Driving Prep Class on driving, reversing, and parallel parking we offer a Special PreTest Class for $120.00.  The PreTest driving class is two hours in length and only for students whom have taken the Adult Permit Class. 



Damos clases para receiber tu permiso para manejar y clases de manejo en espanol.  En Texas todos necesitan un permiso antes to tomar la preva de manejo.  Manejar es un privilegiedo no un derecho.  En Marzo 2010 todos menos de 25 anos mecisitan tomar esta clase una vez por 6 horas. 

Los requisitos son: 
1. Preva de estar legalmente en los Estados Unidos (nato de naciemento, tarjeta de trabajo/residencia, passporte con visa y I-94, etc) 
2. Trajeta original de Numero Social 
3.  identificacion con photo (ID de Texas, trabajo, escuela, etc) 
Nota: se usas lentes trialos.  Tambien una pluma negra y cuaderno para tomar notas.

El primero sabado del mes las clase es en Ingles, el tercer Sabado del mes en Espanol. 
Registracion comenza alas 8:15 a.m. La clases antes dela 9:00 a.m.
El costo especial es $125.00 efectivo o giro postal.
